Living Prayer

Amid the uncertainties of the weeks ahead, let us remember God is with us in every experience that we encounter. May we lean into God’s strength and Christ’s love for us and reach out to those around us, ensuring that they are OK. We pray:

  • for all families within our parish and across Australia, especially those facing challenges and difficulties during these days of lockdown. Let us be mindful of our need to care and be respectful.
  • for all young people experiencing great disruption to their schooling especially those preparing for the HSC and also for parents who are juggling work and home schooling commitments.
  • for a greater commitment bringing about social justice for all, especially those displaced, marginalized or neglected by society.
  • for those who are struggling with economic uncertainty – closed businesses, loss of jobs, reduced hours of work and for those who fear listening to the daily news and media conferences and the updates they bring.
  • for our new parish leader, Christopher Voigt and his family – that they will be warmly welcomed; that our St Joseph’s community will respond to his gifts and talents and that together we will grow in God’s love.
  • for all the people of Afghanistan, that the escalating humanitarian crisis may come to an end and that peace become a reality for all.
