The Rosary literally means a circle of roses or a crown of roses.
It is a special prayer to the Blessed Virgin as we meditate on twenty special events in the life of Jesus. Each of these represents one of the events leading to our salvation, has a decade of the rosary is devoted to it and has existed in our Catholic Church in various forms since at least the ninth century.
The Rosary is recited and meditated upon every morning in the church at St. Josephs at about 9:30am following the morning Liturgy. All are invited to come and join in this
special prayer and enjoy its benefits. Better still, attend the liturgy of the Word with Holy Communion at 9:00am and stay on for the Rosary that follows immediately.
